• 350,000 in the renovation of three grinding machines for the ferrosilicon furnaces.

Cee, June 27th, 2024 - Since it started its activity, XEAL has maintained a constant commitment to safety, environment, care and modernization of its facilities to make them more efficient and effective. The result of this is the recent investment of €350,000  for the renovation of three grinding machines for the ferrosilicon furnaces that serve the factories of Cee and Dumbría.

This machinery is essential in the production process of ferrosilicon in electric submerged-arc furnaces, which are used to periodically distribute the charge of the raw materials used in the process over the surface of the furnace.

José Manuel Blanco, head of Maintenance and Engineering at XEAL, stated "I am proud to lead the transformation project of the Cee-Dumbría plants. The development and improvement of the three grinding machines that will be installed in furnaces H12 and H21 has been possible thanks to the work done by the team, who represents the values of our company, where the effort, commitment and sense of belonging make possible the progress of Xeal's Ferroalloy Division. The acquisition of these machines will improve the safety of our operations, one of the strategic pillars of our company".

Investment plan

XEAL is continuing to execute its investment plan focused on its four strategic axes: Maximum commitment to safety and health in the performance of its workers' activities; respect for the environment and compliance with environmental regulations; long-term care and maintenance of assets; and enhanced efficiency and productivity for increased competitiveness, with safety as a fundamental pillar.

The company's objective is to have the most highly skilled professionals and to achieve a zero accident rate.
