Cee, February 2, 2023.- A group of 40 students from the Santiago de Compostela Polytechic School visited the Cee ferroalloy factory, the Santa Uxía I and II , Novo Pindo and Castrelo power plants, as well as the Castrelo substation.
The students, who are studying between first and second year of Electronic Maintenance and Electrical and Automatic Installations, were interested in learning first-hand about the ferroalloy production process and the operation of a hydroelectric power plant, as well as more practical issues related to how to properly organize work groups, how to prepare a maintenance plan, what management software is being used or how to articulate an effective communication between the different departments of the company.
Several department heads from the company's two divisions, ferroalloys and energy, accompanied the group of students on a guided tour to explain the day-to-day operations of each of the facilities, with their corresponding particularities.
