XEAL makes the second presentation of its #DOA €x€ solidarity campaign, launched in collaboration with Cee and Dumbría's local authorities.

Cee, November 17th, 2020. - The municipalities of Cee and Dumbría, as well as the non-profit organizations Red Cross and Caritas, joined in May the solidarity initiative launched by Xeal, Xallas Electricidad y Aleaciones, the campaign #DOA €x€, through which funds are being collected from the donations of the company's employees and the company itself, to help the most vulnerable groups of society and small businesses in A Costa da Morte, two of the groups most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Today was the second handing over of the funds raised to date. The first was on July 30 for an amount of €6,000. Since then, another 5,000 euros have been raised from donations from Xeal and Company employees.

The money obtained from the collection is distributed in the form of vouchers, redeemable at more than 60 establishments on A Costa da Morte adhered to the solidarity campaign. As a result, the campaign not only helps needy and vulnerable groups, but also provides a boost for the area's retail trade and small businesses that were severely affected by their forced closure during the COVID-19 lockdown. 

As on the previous occasion, the total proceeds of these donations will be delivered to the municipalities of Cee and Dumbría and to the non-profit associations Red Cross and Caritas, responsible for the distribution of vouchers to the victims.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the mayors of Cee and Dumbría, the Red Cross and Caritas and, of course, the commission of the #DOA €x€ campaign, representing Xeal workers , and members of the management team.
