XEAL, Xallas Electricidad y Aleaciones, continuing with its policy of aid and corporate social responsibility, has renewed its collaboration with the Fisterra and Soneira Association of Families of Patients with Alzheimer's Disease and other Dementias. It has also made a donation to improved the standard of care provided, which will be used to provide therapies in the home.

XEAL's contribution will cover, among other things, the expenses derived from the therapists' travel to the homes of the patients, who are also currently going through a difficult economic situation, increased by the coronavirus crisis.

AFAFes was forced to suspend various activities, including care for the elderly and dependent persons, with the onset of the State of Alarm due to COVID-19. As a result, the association's users are unable to attend the center where they were receiving treatment and therapies currently offered for Alzheimer's, as well as for other neurodegenerative diseases.

To alleviate this exceptional situation, XEAL has decided to collaborate with AFAFes so that it can take the therapies to the patients' homes to prevent the prolonged interruption of their treatment and the consequent progression of the disease, which is currently exacerbated by the situation of confinement due to COVID-19.

AFAFes considers XEAL 's donation to be essential at this time in order to be able to continue its work.

Alejando Seco, a member of the company's Board of Directors, expresseD his wish that

"This collaboration with AFAFes will help to reduce the impact of the health and economic crisis caused by COVID-19 on this vulnerable group".

This donation is part of the cooperation and aid measures that XEAL has been promoting in recent months, in which the company has offered to provide help for organizations, public administrations and institutions in the health sector in assisting the most vulnerable groups and tackle the coronavirus emergency.
